About

A blog of quaint deeds, for my young soul to fully flaunt its pride before being smothered out. Giving in to a creative urge is a joy I relish, as it combats the hollowness that comes with the flight from freedom characteristic of the  business of daily life.
This blog is both a tribute and a summons. I dedicate it to those self-educated, self-motivating individuals, struggling for life and survival in a cultural wilderness. It is with them and in them that the hope for the rebirth of our human soul lies. They are the renaissance men of any time; in our time, I wish them the best of luck.

The title is a portmanteau of freiheit, and freizeit. Freiheit is the german word for both the concept of freedom and the concept of liberty: to be free from hindrances to liberty. Freizeit just means free time. Thus I summoned the word freiheitzeit, which might mean "freedom time", but probably it has a deeper, more complex meaning than that.
